This type of printing machine has begun to occupy part of the market that originally belonged to web printing machines. According to the statistics of the European Federation of printing and paper processing machinery manufacturers' associations (eumaprint), due to the impact of the world economic downturn, the sales of printing machinery and equipment in Germany, France, the United States, Italy, Switzerland and other seven countries decreased by 13.08% in 2002 compared with 2001. From the analysis of economic prosperity index, among the 11 countries in Europe, America, China, Russia and Japan, only China and Russia are on the rise, while the rest are on the decline.
